It's COLLEGE GO WEEK!

Attention Seniors! Are you ready to start filling out your college applications? Indiana’s College Application Week is coming up on September 21 – 25, 2020, and many colleges and universities will be waiving their application fees during the week. Find out application information for the colleges you plan to apply to, including if they’ll be waiving their fees, by visiting LearnMoreIndiana.org/college/applying-to-schools/#app-process. While you’re there, be sure to read through the list of things you’ll need before you start your applications. You can use this list to help you gather everything you’ll need. IMPORTANT CTE UPDATES 2020- IN PERSON CLASSES BEGIN 8/31/20

Dear Cardinal CTE Students and Parents,

I hope this letter finds you and your family healthy. As we begin our 2020-2021 school year in unprecedented and constantly changing times, this letter is intended to explain how Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes will be affected. Here at Central High School we offer a variety of CTE courses to help students become college and career ready upon graduation. Many of these courses offer dual-credit opportunities, certifications, and thus requires a hands-on approach to learning.

The Indiana Office of CTE through the Governor's Workforce Cabinet has provided guidance for how CTE courses can be successfully held during this upcoming school year. The Office of CTE has encouraged schools to offer CTE courses through a classroom based or blended model if possible. These models support the highest level of engagement for the hands-on nature of CTE courses. Some courses are able to fully meet Indiana State Standards through a completely virtual format. However, some courses require a hands-on learning approach in order to meet Indiana state standards and certification hours. Below you will find a list for which courses at Central High School require in-class instruction. Students must come to Central High School to meet with their instructor in-person. Transportation will be provided to students.
