Carrie Gosch Early Learning Center Closure Update
The School City of East Chicago has made the difficult decision to close Carrie Gosch Early Learning Center at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year.
This decision followed a careful review of enrollment trends, budget considerations, facility needs, and academic programming, with a focus on best serving students now and in the future.
The district will continue to offer a Pre Kindergarten program, with students attending Pre Kindergarten at their home elementary school.
We are committed to supporting families through this transition. More information regarding student placement, transportation, and next steps will be shared soon.
