Summer Cardinal Excel Camp is open for all PreK-12th grade students. The camp runs from Monday, June 3 through Friday, June 28. This year's program will be housed at Carrie Gosch ELC for grades PreK - 2nd grade and Central High School for grades 3rd-12th grade. To participate, students must be currently enrolled during the 2023-2024 school year.
There will be no school on June 19th (Juneteenth) and June 26th will be a special extended day for our summer school celebration activities.
Our summer excel camp is designed to help students improve their academic foundations and help them develop new skill sets for the future. Not only can students immerse themselves in a structured academic program, helping improve their subject knowledge for when they return to school.
Since space is limited, enrollment into the sessions is not guaranteed. You will be notified by May 24, 2024, to confirm your student's spot in SCEC's Summer School. The last day to enroll is Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Transportation
Bus transportation home will be provided. This service is not door-to-door transportation. Students who are walkers at McKinley, Harrison, Washington, Lincoln, and Block will be picked up and dropped off at their home school. High School students will be provided transportation ONLY for normal school-year bus riders.
