Delayed School Re-Opening: UPDATE (8/19)

Our staff is working diligently to make sure schools are safe and dry preparing for students and staff to tentatively return to campus next week.  We are waiting for power to be fully restored to our schools before we re-open. 

  • Students will return to school tentatively on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
  • The first day for Pre-Kindergarten students will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Meals & Charging Stations

We will be serving packed lunches Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at:

  • Harrison Elementary School
  • Lincoln Elementary School

Thanks to a generous donation from our community partner, AT & T, we will have charging stations for our families who are still without power to charge their devices. 

Please continue to monitor the website, the district app and social media platforms for updates. Stay safe and continue to look out for one another during this time.

Emergency Food Vouchers for Residents

Emergency food vouchers are available for residents who have been without power through the North Township Trustee's Office. 

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have a valid Indiana driver's license or state-issued ID (with current address)
  • Have experienced a power outage lasting at least 72 hours (3 days)
